As detected by monitoring, HP pushed a new firmware "2510AR" via Wi-Fi in April 2026, causing the replacement chips for the 67/305 series on the market to be unrecognized by the printer.

We recommend that customers disable the automatic firmware update function of the printer and do not proactively upgrade the firmware on the official website to reduce the risk of firmware upgrades.
1. Turn off via printer settings mode:
Go to the "Settings" menu and find the "Printer Maintenance" option.
Select "Update Printer" > "Printer Update Options".
Select "Do not check for updates".
2. Turn off via HP Smart software settings:
Download and install the HP Smart APP.
Ensure the printer is connected to the wireless network.
Open the APP and tap the "Ink Level" icon on the printer.
Go to "Advanced Settings" and select "Security" > "Administrator Settings".
Find the "Printer Update" option, uncheck "All Firmware Updates". Select "Do not check for updates" > Confirm again by selecting "No".
3. Turn off via IP address settings:
Ensure the printer is connected to the network and check its IP address.
Enter the IP address in a browser to access the printer's "Settings" page.
Select "Security" > "Administrator Settings".
Find the "Printer Update" option and uncheck it.
4. Turn off via printer engineering mode:
On the printer's control panel, press the "Back" button 4 times consecutively to enter the "Support Menu".
Select the "On / Off" menu and press the OK button to enter.
Find the "Firmware Update" option and turn it off.
